Welcome from Tim Smith, Superintendent

Tim Smith.jpgWelcome to the Mother Lode Union School District where students come first and decisions are governed by what is best for students.  The cornerstones of the Mother Lode Union School District are student performance, safety, connectedness and respect for self and others.  District leadership is committed to continual self and organizational improvement.

In the Mother Lode Union School District, parents and guardians play an integral role as partners with schools, teachers and staff.  The student is most successful when these stakeholders work as a team.

The School Board has set high expectations that all schools will achieve distinguished and high performing school status, as measured by California Standards Test results.  State content standards guide what students will learn and what teachers will teach.  An evaluative process coupled with colleague collaboration encourages self reflection and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Mother Lode Union School District staff is committed to meeting the needs of students and believe all students can learn and improve performance.  It is an on going goal to make Mother Lode Union School District the District of choice in our geographical area.
